Postage & Shipping

Where do you ship to?

We ship world wide, yay!

How long does shipping take?

Processing time is 1-2 working days.

Shipping times vary based on the postage method you opt for & where in the world you live.

It also depends on whether postal services are experiencing strikes or delays.

Arrival estimates can’t be guaranteed unless you opt for Express Fully Tracked Delivery (UK only).

Delivery Estimates:

UK Second Class: 2-3 working days
UK First Class: 1-2 working days
UK Express Fully Tracked: next working day (Mon-Fri)

International Standard: approx. 5 working days
International Express: 3-4 working days

I want to order a gift direct to recipient, how will it be presented?

If your gifts are flat items only, it will arrive in a paper presentation bag within a protective board-backed envelope.

If your gifts contain a non-flat item, they will be sent finished with tissue paper, confetti, a vegan & gluten-free sweet treat & protected in a colourful postage box. Depending on the type of items, they may be packaged in a variation of cute presentation bags, tissue paper & paper twine.

We will never enclose a price packaging slip with gift orders.

Are your packaging materials recyclable?

Yes - 95% of our packaging materials able to be recycled at home.

We are very passionate about being as eco-friendly as possible & are always looking to choose more earth friendly options.

What IS recyclable?

Postage boxes, tissue paper, paper gift bags, paper twine, packaging stickers, packaging tape & bracelet packaging.

What is NOT currently recyclable?

Our cello bags.

We’re aware that cello bags are not the most eco choice. We have a small amount of cello bags left, after which we’ll be switching to a recyclable alternative.

The only item we use them on are our greeting cards for added protection against weather damage during transit. If you would prefer to have your card sent without the cello, please add a note at checkout.

What if my item doesn’t arrive within the usual postage estimates?

You can always get in touch with us at: thedottyroom@mail.com but unless you’ve opted for a fully tracked service, the information will be limited as post carriers tend to only update tracking once a delivery attempt has been made (delivery card / signature / photo proof).

Royal Mail have minimum waiting times before an investigation can be opened into where your item is. This timescale depends on the postage you opted for at checkout, so please get in touch to check.

In most instances, orders are delayed rather than lost; it’s quite rare for packages to go missing.


How do I return an item?

We’ll then help you with your returns options.

How long does it take to process my return?

Once received back in TDR, your return will be inspected & processed within 48 hours.

After this, it can take up to 7 working days for the refund to show with your payment provider.

Can I exchange for a different item?

To keep things simple, we don’t offer exchanges. But you’re able to purchase a different item with your refund.
